About The Position

The Extruder Operator is responsible for folding spacer frames and hanging them in order for the next portion of the window insulation process. The operator must be proficient in reading and following schedules to maintain organization and ensure the team operates at the same cadence. The role involves catching spacer frames as they exit the extruder machine, folding and interlocking them, and then hanging them onto the conveyor for the next operator in the process.

Requirements

• Read dial calipers
• Read a tape measurer
• Organized
• Ability to set up machine for production and change barrels as needed
• Repetitive motion the entire shift with arms above shoulders
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Responsibilities

• Fold spacer frames.
• Hang spacer frames for the window insulation process.
• Read and follow schedules to stay organized.
• Catch spacer frames as they come off the exit of the extruder machine.
• Interlock the key with the other end of the spacer frame.
• Hang frames onto the conveyor for the next operator.
