About The Position

The General Ledger Consultant will manage and execute the entire implementation lifecycle, including planning, discovery, design, and deployment, in addition to project and client management responsibilities, with a focus on General Ledger (GL) requirements.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in English and French, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Accounting, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software implementation experience, with a focus on accounting.
• Practical knowledge of accounting and payroll, production environments, and implementation practices.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot problems, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
• Experience with software in a SaaS/Cloud environment with a focus on HCM.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and meet deadlines for multiple clients concurrently.
• Proven ability to document requirements, issues, and outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SQL, XML, and XSLT.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Payroll modules within Workday, Ultimate, Lawson, or ADP.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the GL implementation process, including collaborative consultation with the client, requirements definition, solution design, guided configuration, unit and integration testing, training, and full deployment.
• Apply functional and technical expertise to effectively execute requirements.
• Partner with client project managers and executives throughout the implementation.
• Engage specific client contacts, such as Controllers, Accountants, and Financial Officers, to complete analysis of client-specific GL posting requirements.
• Consult and advise clients throughout the implementation process on best practices that maximize value and return on investment.
• Collaborate with the project team, internal partners, external clients, and third parties to ensure successful delivery.
• Effectively manage multiple projects and clients at the same time with multiple competing priorities and coach others to work effectively.
