About The Position

Sovereign Consulting Inc., an award-winning environmental consulting and remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ, is seeking a GIT / Geologist / Environmental Scientist with 0 to 5 years of experience for the Denville, NJ Office. Employment at Sovereign is contingent upon the results of a Drug & Alcohol screening test and a pre-placement medical evaluation that determines candidate’s ability to capably and safely perform the proposed job duties. A background check will also be required. Candidates must present documentation that confirms identity and eligibility for employment in the United States.

Requirements

• 0-5 years of experience with a geology or environmental science background
• Experience with NJDEP regulations, guidance documents, and field stamping procedures
• OSHA 40-hourHAZWOPER Certification, current 8-hour refresher and/or Supervisor Certification a plus
• Demonstrated technical writing skills
• Clean Driving Record
• Occasional Overnight Travel
• Must have excellent communication, analytical, field sampling skills
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 40-hourHAZWOPER Certification, current 8-hour refresher and/or Supervisor Certification

Responsibilities

• Groundwater, soil, surface water, and vapor intrusion sampling
• Monitoring well, soil boring and log preparation
• Preparation of analytical data tables
• Report preparation
