About The Position

Steigerwaldt Land Services, Inc., a full-service resource solution company, is seeking a limited-term, part-time GIS Technician for their Inventory and Geospatial Solutions department. This is an entry-level position, with a term from May to August. The company, founded in 1957, is a third-generation, family-owned business with over 65 years of experience in appraisal, analysis, real estate, right-of-way, environmental, and forestry services. Steigerwaldt employs over 50 people across offices in Wisconsin and Michigan. Responsibilities

  • Create maps and graphs using GIS software and related equipment
  • Compile geographic data from a variety of sources including censuses, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps
  • Enter new map data
  • Other duties as assigned
