As a GIS Technician, you will be the visual storyteller for our environmental data. You’ll work across the entire Esri ecosystem to turn complex field data into clear, interactive, and high-impact map products. Collaborate with data teams to find creative ways to depict environmental and regulatory data. Empower our field staff by managing and optimizing mobile data collection tools like ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123. Move beyond “standard” maps. You will use Adobe Illustrator to enhance graphics for print, digital, and interactive formats. Interpret construction drawings and environmental maps to support routine project work and complex mediation.

Requirements

  • MS or BS/BA in Geography, Geology, or related environmental field.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with ArcGIS software suite (Both Pro and ArcMap).
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, and Survey123.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator for both map enhancements and/or graphics creation from scratch.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and open-source GIS.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and maps.
  • Computer skills including in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Responsive and able to handle context or project changes multiple times a day.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines and budgets.

  • General understanding of geology, hydrogeology, or environmental chemistry helps you “speak the language” or our project teams.
