The GIS Technician II – Utilities position builds upon the foundational knowledge of the GIS Technician I - Utilities role by performing advanced GIS data development, cartography, and spatial analysis tasks with minimal supervision, with a primary focus on supporting the County’s water and sewer infrastructure systems. This position is responsible for maintaining and developing GIS datasets related to water distribution and wastewater collection systems, producing high-quality infrastructure maps and analytical products, integrating engineering and as-built data into the GIS environment, and supporting infrastructure planning and maintenance operations. The role involves interdepartmental collaboration with Utilities, Engineering, and Operations Teams to ensure accurate geospatial representation of critical infrastructure assets.
