About The Position
Under general supervision, performs technical engineering support functions; prepares, edits and digitizes engineering records, plans drawing layouts, Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping and computer graphics; uses coordinate geometry to convert surveying data to GIS format, network installations and alterations; and reviews GIS data for accuracy by applying established specifications. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school equivalency with supplemental courses in computer science, drafting, computer graphics, geographic information systems or mathematics
- Two years of appropriate automated drafting or working geographical information systems experience
- Submit DD form 214 or other evidence of veterans' status by the job posting deadline (for Veteran's Preference)
- A negative drug test is required as a condition of employment
- Employees must notify supervision when applying for a position
