GIS Production Analyst (Contractor)
About The Position
Latitude AI develops automated driving technologies for Ford vehicles, focusing on L3 at scale. The company aims to enhance driving safety, reduce stress, and improve enjoyment. The team comprises experts in machine learning, robotics, cloud platforms, mapping, sensors, compute systems, test operations, and engineering. As a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, Latitude operates independently to develop technology rapidly. The Data Services Operations team is crucial for delivering an ADAS driving experience through accurate, up-to-date HD maps, which are collected onboard vehicles and processed to meet stringent quality standards. The Map Operations team also provides GIS analysis to various teams within Ford and Latitude. This contract position is for a Data Services Analyst who will be responsible for quality controlling map data, processing automation feedback, and developing best practices related to Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The contract duration is 1 year (12 months).
Requirements
- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in quality control and data management is preferred
- Ability to work 100% at desk in a 2D and 3D virtual environment
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or related field
- Previous experience working in an AI/self-driving setting or similar
- Experience sourcing and federating third party data for spatial analysis
Responsibilities
- Execute quality control functions in Latitude’s HD map data pipeline to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Provide automation feedback to improve efficiency of Map Operations
- Maintain and ensure the quality of GIS data and related processes
- Analyzing spatial data through the use of mapping software
