STV is seeking a GIS Analyst to join their Digital Advisory department in one of their major Texas office locations. The role involves assisting with GIS and data analysis, preparing and executing queries, and producing various analytical products like maps, spreadsheets, and graphs. The analyst will also develop and manage interactive web maps, dashboards, and data-driven applications using ArcGIS Online and related tools. Key responsibilities include performing advanced spatial analysis, supporting data analytics workflows for infrastructure planning, and maintaining the company's GIS by preparing, collecting, organizing, and inputting data. This involves interpreting various source documents like as-built drawings, construction plans, and legal descriptions, and incorporating them into GIS using methods like COGO, digitizing, and GPS. The position requires creating and maintaining multiple GIS layers, including parcels, streets, right-of-way, floodplain, development layers, and water and sewer system layers. The analyst will follow QA/QC processes to ensure data accuracy, support subject matter experts in regulatory reporting, and maintain geospatial databases for utility assets. They will also create, edit, and validate utility maps and incorporate field-collected data and as-built drawings into GIS systems. Finally, the role involves creating custom, cartographically sound maps to communicate complex spatial information.
