About The Position

Vantor is seeking a GIS Operations Officer to provide geospatial analysis and visualization support to senior U.S. Government intelligence and policymaking stakeholders. This role supports time-sensitive missions and requires the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and short-deadline tasking. GIS Operations Officers collect, integrate, analyze, and visualize large volumes of all-source geospatial and non-geospatial data to produce clear, decision-ready products. The position requires strong technical GIS skills, sound analytical judgment, and the ability to communicate complex information through effective maps, graphics, and visual products. This position requires an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level with required polygraph. To be eligible for this position, you must be a U.S. Citizen. This position requires an active U.S. Government security clearance, applicants who do not currently hold the required clearance will not be eligible for consideration. Employment for cleared roles is contingent upon verification of clearance status. Certain roles may be subject to U.S. export control laws, requiring U.S. person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Requirements

  • Journeyman knowledge of ESRI ArcPro 3.x, Spatial Analyst, Remote View and various classified imagery access platforms
  • Journeyman knowledge of Oracle databases, GIS web services, personal and multi-user geodatabases, various vector and raster data formats, NTM and commercial imagery, and NGA products (e.g. CADRG, CIB, and DTED)

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledgeable of SQL Developer, VBA, and/or Python programming languages to create custom scripts and tools to automate the extraction, ingestion, processing, and integration of disparate data streams and formats
  • Proficiency streamlining operation and production workflows
  • Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Responsibilities

  • Journeyman knowledge of GIS, geospatial and imagery analysis, cartography, all-source geospatial analysis and graphic design and production
  • Create custom datasets through raster geo-referencing and re-projection, feature extraction and digitization, feature and attribute manipulation and file format conversion
  • Design, develop, populate and maintain all-source geospatial databases
  • Create advanced mapping, imagery, and visualization products conveying complicated tactical and strategic information
  • Combine geospatial and temporal information to perform all-source analysis and research
  • Enhance user connectivity to critical information
