GIS Intern

Linea Energy•Austin, TX
•Onsite

About The Position

Linea Energy is seeking a motivated undergraduate or graduate student to join its GIS and Technology team as a GIS Intern. This hands-on geospatial and data role supports spatial analysis, data management, and mapping for utility-scale renewable energy and storage projects from concept through construction-ready development. The intern will contribute to active project workstreams alongside GIS and development teams and gain exposure to how geospatial data supports wind, solar, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects throughout their lifecycle. The internship covers spatial analysis, data management, and mapping and web applications. The intern will support site screening and constraints analysis, project data quality and documentation, Python-based automation, and internal and external map products. The intern will collaborate with teams across the business to understand how spatial data supports project development. This is a paid, part-time internship scheduled for 20–25 hours per week, lasting 12–15 weeks. The position is in-office in Austin. The start date is flexible based on the academic calendar. The term is Fall 2026–Spring 2027, and an extension into a part-time role during the 2026–2027 school year may be considered for the right candidate.
