About The Position

H2M architects + engineers, a multi-discipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm with multiple offices in NY & NJ seeks qualified interns to work closely with experienced professionals in our GIS/Planning Division at our Parsippany, NJ office.

Requirements

• Enrolled as a sophomore or higher in a Geography, Environmental Science/Studies, Geology, Urban Planning, Engineering, Political Science, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Esri’s suite of GIS products including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online.

Responsibilities

• General administrative tasks
• Assist with the development and maintenance of various forms of GIS data.
• Assist in preparing Environmental Assessment Forms and Environmental Impact Statements
• Organize project files and compile reports containing multiples chapters and appendices.
• Other duties as assigned.
