Environmental Services - Student Intern (Parsippany)
About The Position
H2M architects + engineers, a multi-discipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm with multiple offices in NY & NJ seeks qualified interns to work closely with experienced professionals in the Environmental Services Discipline. This is an in-person internship. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in college and are attaining their bachelor’s or master’s degree. For more than 30 years, H2M architects + engineers has offered college students an opportunity to grow through our robust internship program. Throughout the program, students have the opportunity to work on current projects, proposals, conduct site visits and attend client meetings. During the duration of the program, we offer professional development seminars for resume writing, interview skills and team building exercises. At the conclusion of internships, each intern will complete a final presentation detailing their achievement of goals, results on projects and what they learned during their time with H2M.
Requirements
- Is a sophomore or higher at their accredited institution studying Environmental Science, Engineering or related area.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
- Eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team.
- Actively enrolled in college and attaining their bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Responsibilities
- Assist with various environmental field efforts (soil and groundwater sampling).
- Perform general office duties which includes preparing well construction and soil boring logs, and writing report sections.
- Other duties as assigned.
