About The Position

The City is seeking a GIS Coordinator to guide its GIS program and turn complex data into clear, useful tools for everyday decisions and long-term projects. The role creates maps and applications and works across departments to improve information about streets, utilities, parks, and other community assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, computer science, or a related field.
• At least one year of related experience.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, GIS analysis, and data management.
• Knowledge of GPS tools, field mapping, and cartographic methods.
• Strong project management, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, technical training, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver license.

Nice To Haves

• Public sector experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer GIS databases and maintain accurate datasets, metadata, and City maps.
• Produce maps, spatial analyses, reports, and online mapping applications.
• Develop GIS standards and work processes, and coordinate projects across departments.
• Provide user support and training, and troubleshoot GIS hardware and software.
• Maintain the address database in coordination with partner agencies.
