About The Position

This is a full-time support role for a GIS Application & Database Developer with mid-level experience. The developer will work independently to create GIS tools and applications, conduct complex analyses, and produce multi-layered maps. This involves using a combination of tools from the GIS application suite and other programming environments. The role also includes designing and implementing data conversion procedures, performing software and database quality control, and collaborating with the GIS user community to define application requirements and specifications. Project planning, requirements analysis, database design and development, and quality assurance are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

Six years of experience in GIS and related development
Experience in GIS concepts
Experience in computer graphics fundamentals
Experience in relational database fundamentals and concepts
Experience in the development of complex analysis and mapping projects
Proficient in the coding of software
Proficient in manipulating digital databases
Proficient in using GIS programming languages
Proficient in using Internet markup languages
Proficient in using other pertinent technologies
Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical computer users, both orally and in writing
