About The Position

Technologist Inc. is seeking an experienced GIS Analyst to join our team at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs. This role serves as a GIS specialist for technical work in engineering graphics with Geographic Information System (GIS) programs. The analyst will perform GIS-related tasks for Peterson SFB and assigned Geographically Separated Units (GSUs). Responsibilities include developing GIS-related drafting and mapping programs, applications, software guidance, standards, and instructions, with a requirement for a basic understanding of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) and Architect, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) standards. The position involves coordinating with other GIS staff to create user-friendly applications for managing, viewing, mapping, and analyzing spatially oriented data. The analyst will also maintain and update existing facility record drawings, recommend modifications, and ensure facility data for CADD/GIS databases is accurate and current.

Requirements

Must have a basic understanding of the Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment (SDSFIE) and Architect, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) standards.
Expected comprehensive knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcSDE, ArcCatalog, AutoCAD, MS Access, MS Excel, and Oracle.
Shall have comprehensive, practical knowledge of, and skill in applying theories, principles, practices, and application of cartography sufficient to analyze and manipulate data from surveying, cartographic, architectural, and engineering sources in order to develop and implement interactive mapping services and data visualization to the installation.
At least 5 (five) years of experience working as a GIS analyst or related occupation.
At least a high school diploma or GED.
Ability to successfully pass a background check at the level of Public Trust level.

Nice To Haves

Experience designing, organizing, and managing diverse digital databases and geodatabases.
Deep knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcSDE, ArcCatalog, AutoCAD, MS Access, MS Excel, and Oracle.

Responsibilities
