  • Experience with mobile GIS applications, relational databases, or SQL.
  • Experience with the County’s asset and work management system or a comparable platform.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as GIS data steward for the Stormwater Utility/MS4 program and maintain authoritative stormwater datasets within the County Enterprise GIS.
  • Develop, maintain, and document geodatabase feature classes, attributes, relationships, domains, metadata, and editing procedures for stormwater infrastructure and related program data.
  • Maintain and improve the inventory of stormwater conveyances, inlets and catch basins, culverts, pipes, ditches and swales, retention and detention facilities, structural controls, and other assigned assets.
  • Review as-built plans and development records and create or update GIS features and attributes for newly constructed stormwater infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain the MS4 outfall inventory and map, including identification, location, receiving-water information, status, and links to inspection records and photographs.
  • Research and compile information from as-built plans, plats, surveys, aerial imagery, permits, field observations, and County records to create or update stormwater features and attributes.
  • Plan and perform data collection and verification using GIS tools, coordinating access and verification needs with stormwater staff and field crews.

  • Coordinate with the Special Assessment Administrator and OMB to reconcile GIS-derived parcel and impervious-area information with assessment records; provide documented data and analysis without administering or certifying the assessment roll.
  • Integrate approved stormwater asset, inspection, illicit-discharge, maintenance, and project information so staff can locate records and evaluate history by asset or geography.
  • Develop maps, web maps, dashboards, reports, and other products for MS4 reporting, program management, maintenance planning, public information, presentations, and leadership review.
  • Prepare defensible GIS statistics, maps, and extracts for data requests and recurring reports, documenting methods, limitations, and source dates.
