About The Position

Halff is seeking New Graduates who will graduate in December 2026 or May 2027 for a GIS Analyst I in the Fort Worth, TX office. The desired candidate would enjoy working on a variety of types of projects with other industry professionals and be both team-oriented and self-motivated. A GIS Analyst I collects and compiles geospatial information for various projects. They collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to analyze, validate, interpret, and present geospatial data to support decision-making and project execution. They will create maps and figures from geospatial information in various formats to support projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. (New graduates are encouraged to apply)
  • Demonstrated experience with latest version of Esri GIS software such as ArcMap 10.8 and ArcGIS Pro 2.9 or higher.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities to derive actionable insights from spatial data.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in GIS data management and analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Model Builder or Python for workflow automation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) principles, concepts, and applications in the engineering consulting industry.
  • Proficiency in Esri GIS software, for data management, analysis, and visualization.
  • Strong understanding of spatial data formats (shapefiles, geodatabases, raster datasets) and ability to work with various data sources.
  • Experience with geospatial analysis techniques, including spatial statistics, network analysis, and 3D visualization.
  • Familiarity with CAD data integration and conversion between GIS and CAD formats.
  • Ability to create, edit, and maintain geospatial databases, including attribute schema design.
  • QA/QC implementation and familiarity with topology.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply GIS solutions to engineering challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively present complex GIS concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
