The GIS Administrator will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining fiber network records using GIS platforms. This role involves developing and maintaining accurate network maps, route documentation, and as-built records. The administrator will support the documentation of OSP and ISP fiber infrastructure, including conduit, splice points, and fiber routes. Collaboration with engineering and field teams is essential to ensure GIS records accurately reflect real-world network conditions. The position also includes assisting with site inspections, verification of fiber infrastructure, and maintaining splice records, GIS data layers, and KMZ network files. Support for planning and documenting fiber installation, splicing, and testing work, as well as tracking activities and updates using internal systems, is also part of the role. Additionally, the GIS Administrator will assist with network restoration documentation during outage events and may occasionally support installation or maintenance activities in data centers or remote facilities. Other duties as assigned.
