About The Position

Lincoln Savage Middle School is seeking a Girls Wrestling Coach. This position involves building a successful wrestling program and overseeing all facets of it. The coach will serve as a role model for student-athletes, cooperate with other school-sponsored sports, and develop off-season and summer programs. A key responsibility is monitoring the academic progress and attendance of the wrestling players. The coach will also lead wrestling coaches and players in supporting other teams and events, and be a team player among all coaches in the athletic program.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of the game of Wrestling that will allow growth for the student-athlete and the overall program for TRSD.
• Demonstrate, model and teach strong work ethic.
• Provide academic support.
• Be a team and individual character builder.
• Demonstrate organization skills in practice planning.
• Communicate effectively with players, coaches, parents and school administration.
• Build and implement program standards & procedures based on the “Building Character through Sport” philosophy from Bruce Brown.
• NFHS Certification
• First Aid Card (CPR and AED trained)
• District fingerprinting /Criminal background check
• Completion of all OSAA Certifications
• Completion of all School District paperwork
• Completion of Safe Schools trainings

Responsibilities
