About The Position

Trinity Valley School is seeking a Girls Soccer Head Coach for its middle-school B team. The coach will encourage, train, and coach student-athletes, teaching soccer rules, regulations, and techniques in a clear and welcoming manner for players with different levels of experience. The coach will help the team learn and apply offensive, defensive, and team strategies, model good sportsmanship, and plan and organize effective practices that make fundamentals engaging and accessible. The coach will assist the A team coach with planning and training and collaborate with other coaches and athletic leadership to support a connected soccer program. As a representative of TVS, the coach will build positive relationships across Lower School, Upper School, students, and families, and act professionally in those relationships. The coach must follow TVS and Southwest Preparatory Conference rules, stay current on coaching concepts, complete ESC Region 11 Bus Driver certification and TVS employee training, and support the school’s mission and values. The Athletic Department seeks to develop competent, competitive, character-based athletes, with coaches modeling hard work, leadership, and a growth mindset.

Requirements

At least two years of coaching experience at the club, middle-school level, or above.
Support for the four objectives of the TVS Mission Statement.
Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community goals.
Personal and professional integrity.
Ability to collaborate effectively with all TVS employees.
Strong oral and written communication, organizational, technological, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to the multi-sport student-athlete concept and understanding of the value of students exploring more than one sport.
CPR certification and completion of required TVS training.
Valid Texas driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

Encourage, train, and coach student-athletes.

Help the team learn and apply offensive, defensive, and team strategies.
Model good sportsmanship.
Schedule and organize effective practice sessions that make fundamentals engaging and accessible.
Assist the A team coach with planning and training.
Work with other coaches and athletic leadership to support a connected soccer program.
Build positive relationships across Lower School, Upper School, students, and families, and conduct oneself professionally.
Abide by TVS and Southwest Preparatory Conference rules.
Stay current on coaching concepts.
Complete ESC Region 11 Bus Driver certification and required TVS employee training.
