About The Position
This position is for a Girls Junior Varsity Softball Coach for the 2026/2027 supplemental contract at Lakeview Local Schools. The coach will be responsible for the development and management of the junior varsity softball program, ensuring athletes are motivated and adhere to all rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Ohio Pupil Activity Supervisor Permit.
- Must hold CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Must have Concussion Training.
- Must have Ohio Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training.
- Must have Fundamentals of Coaching Certification.
- Displays appropriate appearance, behavior, and language during games and practices.
- Reflects a positive attitude and uses sound, consistent judgments when making decisions.
- Ability to motivate athletes.
- Knows the fundamentals of the sport.
- Has fundamental teaching and coaching ability.
- Successful BCI & FBI background checks.
Nice To Haves
- Prior coaching experience at or above high school level preferred.
Responsibilities
- Issues, cares for, and collects equipment.
- Maintains respect, control, and discipline of athletes.
- Exhibits intensity and dedication to coaching.
- Develops and distributes organized practice schedules that maximize staff, team, and individual potential.
- Demonstrates in-season and out-of-season involvement and commitment to the program.
- Cooperates and communicates with players, parents, head and assistant coaches, athletic director, and administration throughout the school year.
- Abides by the rules and regulations of the OHSAA and NE8.
