Girls Basketball Coach - 7th Grade
About The Position
The Girls Basketball Coach for 7th Grade at Mt. Blue Middle School is responsible for instructing athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training necessary for individual and team success. The coach must also instill positive behaviors that foster character development, self-discipline, self-confidence, and pride in accomplishment among student athletes. This role involves upgrading coaching knowledge and skills through clinics, observations, and consultations. The coach must have a thorough understanding of all athletic policies approved by the Mt. Blue District Schools' Board of Education and ensure their implementation, along with knowledge of existing system, state, and league regulations. The coach is expected to serve as a positive role model for student athletes through their instructions and actions.
Requirements
- Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program.
- Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport.
- Ability to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
- Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.
- Valid CHRC certification.
- Thorough knowledge of all the athletic policies approved by the Mt. Blue District Schools' Board of Education and responsible for their implementation.
- Knowledge of existing system, state and league regulations.
- At least 20 years of age, or a high school graduate.
- Demonstrate ability to instruct and supervise student athletes.
- Knowledge of NFHS and MPA Rules.
Nice To Haves
- Comprehensive knowledge of the game is preferred.
- Knowledge of current coaching techniques and procedures is preferred.
Responsibilities

- Adhere to existing system, state, and league regulations.
- Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through instructions and actions.
- Travel to home and away matches.
- Travel to state team and individual competitions when players qualify.
