About The Position

Ginna's Cafe is seeking a dedicated Associate to join their team. This role involves preparing a variety of food, drinks, and baked goods for customers, and performing all necessary cafe functions. The Associate will be responsible for maintaining food safety standards, managing inventory, and ensuring a clean and orderly work environment. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Requirements

• High school education, or up to one month of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must be available to work on an every other weekend rotation.
• Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available a minimum of two weekends a month.
• Average hours per week is 20 hours.

Responsibilities

• Prepare different types of food, drinks, and baked goods, for sale to customers
• Perform all Ginna’s Cafe functions, which may include deli line, food case, barista, grill, baked goods, and other duties as assigned by the Café Manager and Supervisor
• Maintain working knowledge of Café recipes, beverages, and prepared foods
• Follow all food safety guidelines by Scheels, State, and Local Ordinances
• Ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines
• Ensure Scheels Cashier Guidelines are followed as it pertains to Café registers
• Manage and support side work, stocking, daily and detailed cleaning schedules, including machines and equipment, and opening and closing procedures
• Maintain an orderly and exceptionally clean appearance of personal workspace and surrounding areas, including dining areas
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
