Cloverkey is seeking a Part-Time Gift Shop Sales Associate for Brigham & Women's Hospital. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, supporting store goals, maintaining a clean and organized store, and handling cash transactions. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Basic math skills for processing transactions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell and cross-sell products
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • QuantiFERON Gold test
  • Proof of MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) immunization
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

  • Previous experience in gifts sales or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, thanking them for purchases, and inviting them back.
  • Meet store performance objectives and daily/monthly sales goals.
  • Adhere to corporate and Store Manager directions for supporting events.
  • Clock in and out according to the scheduled work slot to manage budgeted hours.
  • Ensure the store is clean and well-maintained, including dusting shelves, removing trash, organizing displays according to corporate standards, and cleaning surfaces as per schedule.
  • Follow specific cleanliness requirements related to infection prevention.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including counting down the register drawer at the start of each shift and during shift changes.
  • Follow company policy for processing various forms of payment (cash, credit cards, payroll deduction, hospital charge account).
  • Properly notate cash overages or shortages and notify the Store Manager of unexplained differences over $10.
  • Follow hospital and Cloverkey policies regarding personal appearance, attendance, and customer service.
  • Understand and adhere to hospital policies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the hospital contact and the importance of maintaining a good relationship with the hospital.
  • Show respect for and understanding of the role of volunteers.
