About The Position

The Gift Shop Coordinator supports the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the shop. Works with the Manager to oversee the Financial Accounting of the Gift Shop, the processing of Inventory Management, Volunteer Scheduling and Training, and Display of Merchandise. In conjunction with the Manager, oversees the daily sales of the Gift Shop grossing approximately $350,000 - $500,000 annually. Responsible for training the volunteer labor force of approximately 35 individuals, both adult and youth. Works with the Manger to plan strategic sales events, meet established sales, support hospital programs, and initiate and evaluate new initiatives to support customer service and increase sales generation.

Requirements

One (1) year of previous retail sales/coordination experience.
One (1) year of experience in a customer setting.

Ability to train and motivate volunteer staff.

Experience working with computerized (POS) inventory/sales systems.
Ability to handle and reconcile money of various types (cash, credit card, promotional cards) to reconcile daily deposits and reports.
