About The Position

The Hillsboro Club, an exclusive oceanfront private residence club in South Florida, is seeking an experienced Gift Shop Attendant to support daily shop operations. The ideal candidate will warmly greet members, assist with merchandise selection, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding club safety standards. We are looking for a candidate with several years of hospitality or private club experience, and the passion for contributing to the success of our luxury property. The Club operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week. The Gift Shop Attendant is a full-time, hourly position offering a competitive wage of $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in retail sales, gift shop operations, or customer service preferred.
Experience operating a POS system and retail register preferred.
Experience with merchandise stocking, receiving products, maintaining displays, pricing, tagging, and inventory preferred.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and POS systems.
Knowledge of retail sales and merchandise operations.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Friendly, professional, outgoing, and customer-focused demeanor.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their inquiries and merchandise selections.
Assist customers in a friendly, professional, and outgoing manner.
Demonstrate knowledge of merchandise and provide recommendations to members.
Operate the register and handle member transactions accurately.
Demonstrate proficiency with retail POS systems and register operations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor and gift shop.
Maintain merchandise displays, including pricing and tagging merchandise as needed.
Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking merchandise.
Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and restocking shelves.
Handle member issues in a professional and timely manner.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals.
Work at the sales counter as necessary.
Complete other tasks assigned by the Gift Shop Manager.
