About The Position
The Gift Shop Attendant creates a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience for visitors and internal customers. This role handles retail transactions, answers questions, and keeps the gift shop well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, attentive to detail, and comfortable working in a fast-paced visitor environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and move throughout the gift shop as needed.
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, climb stairs or ladders, and sit as required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting VIP guest visits or special guest experiences.
- Experience in tourism, hospitality, or a visitor-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional customer service and assist visitors with questions, product information, and purchases.
- Process retail transactions accurately and efficiently while following established cash-handling and sales procedures.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and attractive sales floor by restocking merchandise and keeping displays presentable.
- Monitor inventory and merchandise levels and communicate restocking needs to the appropriate team members.
- Support VIP guest visits and other special visitor needs as requested.
