About The Position
This is a part-time position at Jackpot Junction in Morton, MN. The Gift Shop Associate will be responsible for assisting customers, managing merchandise, conducting inventory, and supporting the Gift Shop Manager/Lead. This role also involves working with lottery sales, selling entertainment tickets, and potentially working at the box office. The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, late nights, and weekends.
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong math skills.
- Knowledge of steps involved in a sale.
- Knowledge of add-on sales.
- Eye for detail.
- Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures.
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
- Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same.
- Able to lift and push up to 45 pounds.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
Responsibilities
- Assist Gift Shop customers.
- Price and display merchandise.
- Conduct inventory.
- Assist Gift Shop Manager/Lead with merchandise selection.
- Open gift shop and check cash drawer.
- Close out cash at end of shift, and return cash sales to vault.
- Advise Gift Shop Manager/Lead regarding customer requests.
- Work with the lottery.
- Sell entertainment tickets for shows and special events.
- Work at box office as needed.
- Return deposits to vault.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
