About The Position

The GI Technician/Endoscopy works under the direct supervision of a surgeon, assisting with technical equipment during simple and complex endoscopic procedures. The physician, registered nurse, and GI technician collaborate in the procedure room to support positive patient outcomes. The technician also cleans, disinfects, and maintains endoscopes and other instruments. Additional duties include managing patient flow, preparing procedure rooms, stocking supplies, ordering materials, and completing clerical tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a GI Lab.
• Current BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center or surgical hospital.
