About The Position
Landmark Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Gastroenterology Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our expanding GI practice. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work alongside experienced gastroenterologists in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing comprehensive digestive health care to a diverse patient population. This is a full-time employed position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. It offers a collaborative, physician-led practice environment with a mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient consult responsibilities. There is an opportunity to perform patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and care coordination. The role is supported by administrative and clinical staff, and includes a CME allowance and professional development opportunities. Malpractice coverage is provided.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current or eligible Rhode Island PA licensure
- NCCPA certification required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Nice To Haves
- Previous Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, or related clinical experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories
- Evaluate and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Perform hospital consultations and follow-up care
- Review diagnostic studies, laboratory results, and imaging reports
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and preventive care
- Coordinate care with primary care providers and specialists
- Document encounters accurately within the electronic medical record system
