About The Position

United Health Services is seeking a dedicated Gastroenterology Technician to join our GI Lab team at UHS Binghamton General Hospital. In this role, you will work closely with gastroenterologists and clinical staff to support diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, safety, and infection prevention. The Gastroenterology Technician prepares procedure rooms, anticipates provider needs during procedures, assists with patient care activities, and reprocesses endoscopic equipment according to established guidelines. This team member is responsible for maintaining clean and sterile supplies, supporting efficient workflow in the GI Lab, and contributing to a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes. Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
GI Technical Specialist (GTS) online course completion through the Society of Gastrointestinal Assistants (SGNA) within 18 months of hire
