Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Proficiency in MS Excel, electronic health systems and databases, such as EPIC, required
- Knowledge of GCP, federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA policies and procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Previous procedural, GI, ASC, PACU, ICU, ER, or outpatient experience is a plus, but not required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a GI lab, Surgery Center or Critical Care setting highly preferred
- Pre-Op and/or PACU experience is helpful
Responsibilities
- Providing nursing care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures
- Admitting, assessing, and educating patients prior to procedures
- Preparing procedure rooms and assisting physicians during procedures
- Monitoring patients throughout recovery and ensuring safe discharge
- Providing patient and family education regarding post-procedure care
- Collaborating with providers and clinical staff to coordinate care
- Accurately documenting patient information and clinical updates
- Responding appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
- Supporting daily clinic and procedural operations, including equipment processing and room turnover
