About The Position

The Sr. Manager Supply Chain & Material Control is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and material control. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials from suppliers through production to final delivery, supporting operational excellence, cost optimization, and on-time customer fulfillment. The Director will develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives, while building scalable processes, strengthening supplier partnerships, and driving continuous improvement across all material and logistics functions. This role is 100% on site and you'll be expected to work on a daily basis, side-by-side, with your team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including leadership roles in manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Proven experience in procurement, planning, inventory control, and logistics
  • Experience managing global suppliers and complex supply chains
  • Medium proficiency in French and English. French is required for communicating with our team in Quebec. Proficiency in English is essential for communicating with our clients, partners, and suppliers located outside of Quebec, as well as for reviewing certain technical documents available only in English.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with company growth and operational goals
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across procurement, planning, inventory, and logistics
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on capacity planning, risk mitigation, and long-term sourcing strategies
  • Oversee sourcing strategies, supplier selection, and contract negotiations
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and reliability
  • Drive supplier performance management, including scorecards and regular business reviews
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value engineering
  • Lead demand planning, production planning, and materials requirements planning (MRP) processes
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance service levels, working capital, and risk
  • Implement robust material control systems to ensure accuracy, traceability, and availability
  • Reduce excess and obsolete inventory through proactive planning and lifecycle management
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, and shipping
  • Optimize layout, processes, and systems to improve efficiency and throughput
  • Manage domestic and international logistics, including transportation, customs, and freight optimization
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality standards
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to improve lead times and service levels
  • Implement systems and tools to enhance visibility, reporting, and decision-making
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with manufacturing, engineering, and finance
  • Identify supply chain risks (supplier dependency, geopolitical, capacity constraints) and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
  • Support business continuity planning and contingency strategies
