About The Position
The National Wound Physician Group is seeking a Geriatrician for a position focused on wound management in post-acute care settings. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility with no nights, call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians will become experts in wound management through training from highly qualified, wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors, utilizing cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. W2 physicians earn, on average, $300,000 per year plus benefits for a 30-hour work week, with part-time opportunities available. Paid training is provided during onboarding and a 6-month wound care fellowship.
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.
- Full, active, and unrestricted license in the state you wish to practice
- Minimum commitment of 3 days a week within our working days of Monday through Friday

Responsibilities
- Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting (Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals).
- Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
- Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day.
- Perform clinical documentation at the point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR.
- Provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states.
