About The Position

Join Webber, a leading construction company and part of Ferrovial Construction, as a Geotechnical Superintendent. This role is crucial for leading the successful execution of complex geotechnical projects. You will be responsible for monitoring overall construction work, updating project schedules, managing labor costs, ensuring proper equipment maintenance and usage, overseeing suppliers, and coordinating self-perform work. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Soldier Piles, Tiebacks, Micropiles, Auger Cast Pile/Drill Shafts, CFA Auger Cast Piles, Wick Drains, Soil/Rock Nail.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge in geotechnical construction methods, specs and procedures.
  • Have a thorough understanding of geotechnical equipment (drill rigs, grout plants, shotcrete pumps) mean and methods, proper usage and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring that a safe workplace remains the top priority by partnering with the Safety Department and Project Management teams to support policies, procedures and practices for establishing a safe workplace.
  • Control job progress by managing crews, solving problems and conflicts, using proper documentation, quality control and safety control techniques on the job.
  • Directly support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for geotechnical activities to achieve goals for each project.
  • Oversee field productivity, cost control, quality control and scheduling to ensure accurate and updated construction schedules and budgets are being met.
  • Work with field and project management to address cost and schedule concerns.
  • Take an active part in job start / job close meetings as required.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Management to troubleshoot job challenges and update job status.
  • Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures with field personnel and Subcontractors.
  • Provide Leadership through building cooperative relationships, acting systemically, being decisive and taking responsibility.
  • Display leadership by being a good role model and striving to promote a positive attitude at all times.
  • Always act in a safe and professional manner.
