Webber is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Geotechnical Superintendent to lead the successful execution of complex geotechnical projects.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Soldier Piles, Tiebacks, Micropiles, Auger Cast Pile/Drill Shafts, CFA Auger Cast Piles, Wick Drains, Soil/Rock Nail.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Willing to travel.

  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge in geotechnical construction methods, specs and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of geotechnical equipment (drill rigs, grout plants, shotcrete pumps) mean and methods, proper usage and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the overall construction work for assigned Geotechnical projects.
  • Updating project schedules.
  • Managing labor costs.
  • Ensuring proper equipment maintenance and usage.
  • Managing suppliers.
  • Coordinating self-perform work.
  • Ensuring that a safe workplace remains the top priority by partnering with the Safety Department and Project Management teams to support policies, procedures and practices for establishing a safe workplace.
  • Controlling job progress by managing crews, solving problems and conflicts, using proper documentation, quality control and safety control techniques on the job.
  • Directly supporting project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for geotechnical activities to achieve goals for each project.
  • Overseeing field productivity, cost control, quality control and scheduling to ensure accurate and updated construction schedules and budgets are being met.
  • Working with field and project management to address cost and schedule concerns.
  • Taking an active part in job start / job close meetings as required.
  • Communicating regularly with Project Management to troubleshoot job challenges and update job status.
  • Communicating and enforcing company policies and procedures with field personnel and Subcontractors.
  • Providing Leadership through building cooperative relationships, acting systemically, being decisive and taking responsibility.
  • Displaying leadership by being a good role model and striving to promote a positive attitude at all times.
  • Always acting in a safe and professional manner.
