About The Position

Geotechnical Staff Engineer – Harlingen, Texas Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the world’s top-recognized brands and companies, is actively seeking a Geotechnical Staff Engineer to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team in in our Harlingen, Texas office supporting the Rio Grande Valley and Corpus Christi Regions. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an ABET accredited college or university in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering discipline
• Passed F.E. exam or scheduled to take within 6 months
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills
• The ability to read and understand work plans
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree (MS) from an ABET accredited college or university in geotechnical, civil, or related engineering discipline
• PE License is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Engineering reports, project plans and specifications prepared by others
• Prepare scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments
• Prepare proposals to provide professional services
• Review recommendations with Principal Consultant
• Maintain and leverage client relationships and develop new project opportunities
• Attend client site meetings and communicate effectively with client and project teams
• May work in the field / laboratory and perform on-site observations, sample collection, and specific tests
