About The Position

The Geotechnical Project Engineer (PE) role is for individuals who are licensed Professional Engineers and enjoy leading meaningful geotechnical projects from concept through completion. This role blends technical excellence, field leadership, and client collaboration. The company is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to take ownership of geotechnical engineering projects, provide technical leadership, and mentor team members while delivering high-quality solutions to clients. This role can be based in Paducah, KY; Belleville, IL; or Brentwood, TN. As a Geotechnical Project Engineer, you’ll serve as both a technical expert and project leader, responsible for successful delivery across all phases of work.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain via reciprocity)
5+ years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience
Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Lead geotechnical projects from planning through completion, including scope, budget, schedule, and deliverables
Serve as the primary technical and project point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams
Perform and oversee geotechnical analyses, designs, and interpretation of field and laboratory data
Plan and manage subsurface exploration programs and coordinate field operations and resources.
Prepare, review, and seal professional geotechnical engineering reports
Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and client relationship efforts
