About The Position

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company, has an immediate opening for a Project Geotechnical Engineer in Houston, Texas. This role involves managing geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, interacting with clients, and managing project budgets. The position requires coordination and participation in field activities such as boring logs, test pits, trenches, and core logging. Responsibilities also include evaluating geologic and seismic hazards, conducting forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes, and performing foundation, slope stability, and settlement analyses. The Project Geotechnical Engineer will also be responsible for preparing geotechnical engineering proposals and reports, and providing technical support to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• 4+ years of geotechnical consulting experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and collaborative team player

Nice To Haves

• M.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
• Local Houston-area experience preferred
