This internship focuses on geotechnical fieldwork and supporting subsurface exploration activities. Interns will assist with scheduling drilling operations, coordinating field efforts, obtaining utility clearances, and preparing drilling instructions and field plans. The role involves performing boring and test pit layout, observing and classifying soils, preparing boring logs, and conducting hand auger borings. Additionally, interns may assist with specialized testing, site seismic testing, and observing foundation construction. Documentation of field observations and support for data collection and reporting are key responsibilities. This position offers a hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering consulting.
