About The Position
TTL, Inc. has a need for a full-time, geotechnical field logger. This full-time position provides technical field support for geotechnical engineering projects for both private and public sectors. This person must have a good safety record and be able to communicate effectively with other team members and clients. Build your Foundation. Build your Future. Build your Legacy. Come to TTL.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
- H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be able to work in all types of weather and field conditions
- Must be able to work outside typical daily 8 am to 5 pm hours
- Must be able to travel for extended periods of time
- Must have basic computer skills for time and expense entry
- Must be able to communicate effectively with fellow employees and drillers
- Must be able to read plans and maps
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to travel between Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana.
Responsibilities
- Collecting soil samples
- Preparing field boring logs
- Conduct field testing on collected soil samples and record pertinent drilling information
- Locate and stake boring locations
- Notify utility locators of proposed drilling locations
- Conduct field electrical earth resistivity testing
- Ensure general safety of drilling crew
- Participate in safety meetings
