About The Position

Call & Nicholas is seeking a geotechnical/geological engineering intern to join their consulting group based in Tucson, AZ. This position requires the applicant to be locally based in Tucson, AZ. The internship is for Fall 2026 and is part-time, not to exceed 30 hours per week, during normal business hours.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geology, geological engineering, geotechnical engineering or mining engineering.
• 0-5 years’ experience
• All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S
• Must be local to the Tucson, AZ area.

Responsibilities

• Data reduction including stereographic, statistical, and geospatial analyses
• Technical reporting and documentation of field work and analysis work
• Laboratory testing, performing and assisting with soil and rock strength testing
• Site characterization
• Geologic/geotechnical mapping
• Geomechanical core logging
