About The Position

Rendezvous Robotics is seeking an Avionics Engineering Intern for Fall 2026. This full-time, 12-15 week internship is based in Golden, Colorado. The company is developing modular spacecraft components using electromagnetic self-assembling tiles to enable the construction of larger and more powerful spacecraft than currently possible. The intern will contribute to hardware, software, and systems engineering efforts, working towards flight demonstrations and operational systems. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about building the next generation of advanced spacecraft.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Coursework or project experience in power electronics or analog/digital circuit design
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools (KiCad, Altium, or similar)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations due to ITAR requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with gate drivers, DC-DC converters, or battery management systems
  • Understanding of isolated sensing or isolated power architectures
  • Exposure to embedded firmware for hardware bring-up
  • Experience debugging with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other bench equipment

Responsibilities

  • Support design and review of power electronics, including battery management and protection circuits
  • Work on PCB design for onboard electronics
  • Help analyze cross-domain fault behavior and edge cases in the power system
  • Support power distribution and bus architecture work across internal interfaces
  • Assist with bring-up and debug of avionics hardware on the bench
