About The Position
Kleinfelder's Geotechnical team is seeking an Entry Level Engineer/Geologist for their Irving, Texas office. This role involves dispatching resources and coordinating utility clearance for geotechnical field operations. The position requires coordinating with project teams, field teams, drilling subcontractors, and state utility agencies to schedule field activities safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and possess strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or related field
- 0 to 3 years' experience in drilling and utility clearance operations
- Must have valid TX Driver's License
- Excellent personal and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- EIT/GIT preferred
- Knowledge and experience scheduling drilling operations, coordinating underground utility locates, and dispatching drillers/loggers
- Prefer a degree in geotechnical engineering or geology
Responsibilities
- Scheduling drilling operations
- Coordinating underground utility locates
- Dispatching drillers/loggers
- Coordinating and dispatching resources under changing project conditions (weather conditions, drill rig/availability, changing project requirements, etc.)
- Becoming familiar with and following company policies regarding Health and Safety and underground utility locating
- Working with multidisciplined project teams
- Maintaining objectives, initiatives, and overall goals set forth by the project manager.
