As a geotechnical engineer, you will work on small and large projects as a team member under the close guidance and supervision of a senior engineer. You will perform geotechnical engineering tasks in support of transportation, dam, power, and infrastructure projects, which may include calculations, field work, coordination of simple tasks, and attending and recording meetings. Assignments may include smaller projects with relatively few complex features. You will assist more senior engineers and designers with routine aspects of geotechnical and civil engineering assignments. The role supports geotechnical and civil design and may include field work related to geotechnical explorations or construction activities, as well as construction-phase support. The position is based in a typical office environment, with field work potentially involving exposure to inclement weather and lifting moderately heavy equipment and soil or rock samples.
