About The Position

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates is a top-tier, multi-disciplined engineering firm with a demonstrated history of success for the past 30 years. The Hillis-Carnes Specialty Construction Group is actively seeking Geotechnical Drillers for our Woodbine, MD office. The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the geotechnical drill rig operations and drilling techniques. Candidates need to be reliable, motivated, possess a positive attitude, and have a good work ethic.

Requirements

High school diploma
Ability to meet additional pre-employment requirements.
Excellent organizational skills
Self-motivated, responsible, and reliable

Nice To Haves

CDL class A or B is preferred but not required
Successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company-provided training and mentoring

Responsibilities

Experience with Hollow Stem Auger and Casing Advance Drilling, Mud Rotary Drilling, Split Spoon and Shelby Tube Sampling, and Rock Coring.
Clean and maintain company assigned vehicle, drill rig, and equipment
Work closely with site leadership to ensure that scope of work is being met within a timely schedule and in accordance with the safety standards
Produce daily reports and boring logs

Benefits

Salary range is between $24 and $34/Hour and will be negotiated based on experience.
