About The Position

Assists the drill crew in performing Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and geotechnical drilling operations. Supports the driller by setting up equipment, handling drilling tools and samples, maintaining a safe work environment, and helping collect soil and rock data for engineering and construction projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation and breakdown of drilling equipment.
• Handles drill rods, augers, and other drilling tools.
• Collect, label, and store soil samples during drilling operations.
• Support SPT procedures under the direction of the driller and Project Manager.
• Perform routine cleaning of equipment and maintenance.
• Load and unload tools, supplies, and materials from drill rigs and trucks.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain accurate logs
• Travel to project sites to perform drilling assignment
