Vantor is seeking a passionate Geospatial Analyst to join their team and help advance their geospatial solutions. The role is based at a customer site in Tampa, FL, specifically at MacDill AFB, and requires a minimum of a Secret security clearance. The Geospatial Analyst will be part of a team supporting the United States Special Operations Command (US SOCOM) by using various data sources to meet challenging, high-impact project needs. This position involves providing technical support for projects that utilize dynamic geospatial information to adapt to changing client requirements. Key responsibilities include fusing multiple sources of geospatial and non-geospatial information, publishing geospatial products to a web server, training on geospatial techniques, and migrating/standardizing large GIS datasets into new schemas. The candidate should possess strong personal motivation, documentation, and communication skills, and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team. The team's focus is on enhancing, improving, and repurposing an existing collaborative mapping system, ensuring all created geospatial products meet quality and material specifications. The role will also assist in implementing emerging capabilities and using advanced technologies for analysis and deriving information from large geospatial datasets. The applicant must be comfortable handling large amounts of disparate data and compiling it into a standardized product. This is a full-time, client-facing position requiring the team member to interface professionally with the client, other contractors, and vendors.
