About The Position

Streamline Defense is seeking an exceptionally-qualified candidate to serve as a GEOINT Data Scientist at the Senior-level in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This role is responsible for accuracy and consistency of geospatial data management, developing and maintaining data standards, and ensuring data is protected and compliant with office and agency regulations and standards. The candidate will perform in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulate key findings. They will also review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft, industry and agency standards, and adequate support for conclusions, routinely testing the analytic rigor of analytic content. The position requires analyzing complex data landscapes, identifying data risks, and defining mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance. Must be willing to take a CI polygraph, if required.
  • 5 years of experience in geospatial data management, data governance, or data stewardship roles, preferably in a complex organizational environment.
  • Proficient in SQL and have foundational understanding of database technologies with the ability to analyze and profile data.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and their impact on data management practices.
  • Strong understanding of data management principals, data governance frameworks, and data quality concepts.
  • Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and adept at problem solving to address data-related issues and coordinate the implementation of data improvement initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging best practices in data management, governance, quality and stewardship.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data landscapes, identify data risks, and define mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills to maintain data governance artifacts and support audits and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in ESRI suite of tools, geodatabase technologies and web capabilities.
  • Understanding of geospatial data metadata, standards, and implementation.
